The Atom, TRM's 2nd production linerlock folder, uses the same ergonomic handle shape as the popular Neutron linerlock and Viator slipjoint. We've chosen custom-made titanium barrel spacers to maintain the Atom's light and airy look. The Atom opens easily with a flick of your finger, employing the custom -designed titanium thumbstuds.
Combining a .090" thick blade stock with a flat grind, the Atom is a perfect EDC for those preferring a 3.5” blade. The CPM 20CV powdered metal was chosen for its corrosion and wear resistance. It’s known for its great edge retention for performance when you need it. Arriving razor-sharp out of the box, it is ready for your everyday use. The titanium deep pocket tip-up carry clip secures the Atom in your pocket, and you’ll hardly realize you are carrying a knife.
It would be a challenge to find a folder with a 3.5” blade that measures only .390” in width and weighs in at 3 oz. TRM chose to machine pockets into the handle scales to incorporate full titanium liners, maintaining two of the Neutron’s special features- lightweight and slim.
TRM never skimps on materials or machining details-full titanium liners, pocketed scales, USA-Made Carbon fiber, G10 and Micarta scales, custom turned titanium barrel spacers and thumbstuds are all standard issue.
