Russ Kommer

Russ has been creating knives since 1997. He is a hunter, outdoorsman, fisherman and general outdoor enthusiast. While hunting in the Alaskan wilderness, he developed a passion for knives: he felt knives needed to be sharp but comfortable and functional as well. Since his enlightenment, Russ’ goal has been to design and make the most comfortable, functional hunting knives possible and has gone on to design knives for several manufacturers such as FOX Knives and CRKT.

Northern Knives is Russ' only direct dealer. Each knife we carry in this collection is new and was fully made by hand, end to end, by Russ.
