The Epoch is another amazing everyday carry folder from Reate Knives. It is built along the same lines as the Wave and Torrent models and includes some improved manufacturing techniques. It is a high-end EDC knife with flipping action on par with the best in the industry. It also features a beautiful mokuti inlay on the presentation scale which transforms the looks from something ordinary to something much more.
The 3.7" drop point blade is made from CTS-204P stainless steel with a sharpening choil and a brushed satin finish. The handle is a wonderful ergonomic shape, made from machined 6AL4V titanium with chamfered edges for comfort and matte gray finish. The knife has a milled titanium backspacer with hidden lanyard hole and slight jimping on the thumb ramp. The easily accessible frame lock features a replaceable steel lockbar insert with integral overtravel preventer. The titanium pocket clip is fashioned after Todd Begg's ceramic ball clip and provides strong retention while being very easy to get in and out of the pocket. This is a gentleman's style tactical flipper with supremely smooth action thanks to the ball bearing pivot. It is another great example of how Reate Knives is taking the industry by storm; superb designs with excellent materials and incredible fit and finish. Includes spare replaceable steel pivot washers and screws.
