This collection was made and sold by Cold Steel at some point in the early 90's. As far as we know only 500 sets were ever made and this is #314. This unfortunately does not come with the bamboo stand, boxes, fan nor sake set that would have come with it originally from cold steel and only includes these fine blades and their sheaths. This set includes:

These blades all have "one of the strongest reinforced points available" and each have Cold Steel's own San Mai III traditional style Japanese laminate. High carbon stainless forms the core and edge of the blades while two layers of tough spring tempered stainless steel support and strengthen the blade resulting in the best qualities of both types of steels. This steel is 25% stronger than the incredibly tough 400 Series stainless used in their original Tanto. These have a deep hollow grind which provides less cutting resistance and provides a surgically sharp edge despite the massive blade spine, and are perfectly balanced at the guard for a quick response.
