Case Copperhead 6249SS 3.88" / Antique Rogers Corn Cob Jigged Bone / Silver Bolsters ( Discontinued )
A classic jack knife, the Case Copperhead is essentially a non-locking version of the Copperlock pattern. Compact and easy to carry the Copperhead offers two blades at the small end of the handle: a large primary blade, usually a clip and a small pen. This version comes with smooth Antique Rogers Corn Cob Jigged Bone covers and two polished Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades: a pen and Wharncliffe.
Blades: Equipped with slicing hollow grinds the dual blades of the Copperlock are ideally versatile for handling everyday tasks. The Wharncliffe handles any heavy cutting chores and has a fine tip for piercing and detail work. The pen is good for smaller tasks where control and precision are required. Made of Case's Tru-Sharp Stainless steel the blades open via classic nail nicks and have a high mirror polish finish.
Handle: Antique Rogers Corn Cob Jigged Bone. The covers are attached with brass pins to brass liners in the traditional style. The front cover sports a Case shield while dual stainless steel back springs deliver smooth, simple and secure slip-joint operation.
Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel: Case's proprietary version of 420HC. Stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
