C. Risner Vintage Indian Head Stockman 3 Blade 3.75 Closed Slipjoint / Ivory White Acrylic / High Carbon Solingen ( Pre Owned )
Product Details

This Vintage Stockman folding knife from C. Risner Cutlery' Indian Head line features a classic design that is sure to please. The knife has 3 blades made from satin finished Solingen steel and measures 3.75" when closed. The handles are made from a White Acrylic and feature a stylized Indian Head penny shield inlay and nickel silver bolsters.

The smooth action and build rival that of the current line of G.E.C. knives and just have the fun of the logo and being forged in Germany.

About Indian Head Knives:

From 1976 to the mid 1990`s, the Buck Creek “Owl`s Head” and “Indian Head” line of knives contained a profile, circular shield. Starting in 1978, Clarence Risner (owner of C. Risner Cutlery) began a friendship with Mr. Burns (owner of Buck Creek). Mr. Risner began freelancing “Buck Creek” knives and “Indian Head” knives which were all produced for Buck Creek in Solingen, Germany. From 1986 to the early 1990`s, Mr. Risner continued to produce “Indian Head” knives from Solingen, Germany.

The most common pattern produced with the “Indian Head” trademark was the three bladed stockman pattern. Mr. Risner also produced several small four bladed congress patterns with the “Indian Head” trademark. Mr. Risner selected handles materials arraying from stag, bone, acrylics and celluloids. All of Mr. Risner`s “Indian Head” knives were highly collectible user knives containing high carbon hammer forged steel.

This specific example was brought into the US sometime in the mid 90's by C. Risner Cutlery. The knife pictured is representative of the knife you will receive. This was part of an estate and we got several of this specific model as NOS. Does not include a box or paperwork (as they would have been sold in the 90's)
