The Sphinx uses the best material available to ensure performance and longevity. The handles are made out of 6Al4V titanium or Grade 5 titanium. Captured ceramic bearings ensure a smooth opening knife and no lost balls during disassembly. A hidden "D" shaped pivot screw and a corresponding notch in the frame make adjusting the pivot a one tool job. The Sphinx features a stainless steel lock bar insert that doubles as an over-travel stop. The lock bar insert provides a steel surface for the blade to mate up when the knife is locked open. This prolongs the life of the lock bar as well as prevents the lock from sticking. The over-travel stop does not allow the lock bar to be overextended so your knife continues to lock open safely.
The length of the blade comes in just under three-inches making it long enough for most tasks and still legal to carry almost everywhere.
